Binder-USA has released a torque wrench for the M8 and M12 Binder overmolded connectors that have the newly designed hexagonal locking ring nut. The torque wrench is designed with a torque limiting feature to ensure the locking ring is properly threaded to its mating part. The M8 torque wrench will fit a 9 mm nut and tighten to 0.4 Nm. The M12 torque wrench fits a 13 mm nut and will tighten to 0.6 Nm. Using the torque wrench will prevent the possibility of over tightening the connector, which could destroy the connectors o-ring.

Binder-USA is pleased to announce the most recent addition of molded eight-pin cordsets to the M8 sensor connector range. The new cordset is a response to the high demand for smaller connectors that can transmit the maximum amount of signals possible. With the new M8 cordset it is possible to transmit up to 8 signals from a connector that is only 9.7 mm in diameter. The M8 connectors are ideally suited for actuator or sensor applications in the automation industry.

The cordsets have an open cable end with cables available in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyurethane (PUR), which have a cross-section of 0.25 mm² (24 AWG) and offered in standard 2-, 5- or 10-meter lengths. Custom wire sizes, lengths and materials are available upon request.

Each cordset has eight gold-plated contacts and have a rated current of 1.5 amps per contact and an overall rated voltage of 30 volts. All versions are IP 67 rated when fully mated to their connecting parts.

Over the last 10 years MPE-Garry has permanently extended their product portfolio in the area of wire to board connectors.

Starting with standardized IDC-connectors MPE-Garry’s product range now carries a wide range of versions such as crimp, solder cup or fine pitch FFC connectors. This extensive range of products is presented on MPE-Garry’s website under www.mpe-connector.de

To have a perfect platform for presenting this range of products, MPE-Garry has produced a sample board where the most popular parts are mounted on. With this board, customers have the possibility of inspecting the mounting of these parts and also of trying the mating and unmating forces together with the different available locking systems. The sample board is packed neatly in a case and will be with every outside sales person from MPE-Garry and their distributors.

Binder-USA has expanded its line of M12 connectors with a single-ended overmolded cable connector. The Series 876 D-Coded connectors have adapted the standard Profinet design, which is commonly used in industrial environments for automation networking applications.

The molded connectors are available in male or female versions with 4 gold-plated contacts and are available in 2-, 5- and 10-meter lengths. Each connector is molded to a shielded polyurethane (PUR) cable, which consists of 22 AWG wires. Other cable types and lengths are available upon request. The connectors have a rated current of 4 A per contact and a total rated voltage of 250 V. When fully mated the connection is IP 67 rated to ensure protection from liquids and debris.

For a complete connecting solution, Binder-USA offers front and rear mounting receptacles as part of the M12 D-coded product range.

Binder-USA is pleased to expand its power connectors with M12 A-coded panel-mount receptacles. The new receptacles are prewired with 18 gauge leads, which have increased the rated current and voltage compared to other M12 connectors. This increase in wire size makes the connectors ideally suited for industrial and automation applications.

The M12 receptacles are prewired with 18 gauge 200mm long leads making it now possible to conduct up to 8 amps per contact and 250 volts per connector. The receptacles have a PG9 mounting thread and are available with 4 and 5 gold-plated contacts. For protection from liquids and debris the connectors are sealed to an IP67 rating making them suitable for harsh environments.

The new receptacles will mate with Binder’s M12 A-coded male and female cable connectors to make a complete connecting system.

Binder-USA is pleased to announce the addition of 7/8″ panel-mount connectors with dip solder contacts to the Series 820 and 870 connector family. With the dip solder contacts the connectors can now be mounted to a PCB board. The 7/8″ connectors are ideally suited for power supplies, Fieldbus and Ethernet applications.

The new receptacles are available in both male and female versions with 2+PE, 4 and 4+PE gold-plated contacts. Front- and rear-mountable positions allow for the receptacles to be mounted from the back or front of a panel. All versions have UL approval and an IP67 rating ensures connectors are protected while used in harsh environments.

In order to make a complete connecting system the receptacles will mate with the field-attachable connectors and cordsets from the entire Binder 7/8″ connector family.

The panel-mounted receptacles can be rotated during installation to allow a right-angle cordset to connect in a desired angular position. These M12 A- and B-coded connectors are commonly used for industrial networks and automation applications in harsh environments.

The new receptacles are available in both male and female versions and prewired with 200mm wires. The A-coded connectors are available with 4, 5, 8 and 12 gold-plated contacts. The B-coded connectors are available with 4 and 5 gold-plated contacts. When fully connected to their mating parts the connectors are IP67/IP68 rated ensuring connections are protected from liquids and debris.

Additionally, the housing of the A-coded receptacles has been converted from nickel-plated brass to nickel-plated die-cast zinc. In result terminations are no longer potted since the contact insert is now keyed and locked in the housing.

Binder-USA is introducing the Series 820 7/8″ cable connectors with newly labeled screw terminals. By labeling the terminals it is now easier to identify the correct pin location for each wire.

The price and dimensions of the connectors will not be affected by this change. Mixed shipments of marked and unmarked terminals is possible while stock of the previous version depletes.

All 2+PE, 4 and 4+PE field-attachable connectors will reflect the new labels. Changes include all parts below:
